Is it safe to eat refrozen pork?

I defrosted some sausage and bacon in my fridge and then didn't cook it for two or three days. I went to get it this morning, only to find that someone had put the meat back in the freezer overnight. Is it still safe to eat? I've heard that most meat bought at the grocery store was frozen before it arrived anyway, but how safe is this? I've had food poisoning. I don't want it again.
