Why do so may people feel the End Times are just a few years away?

I don't think it will happen in our life time, but Yes, I feel so many more natural disasters and other things are happening today, I believe more then ever, something is eventually bound to come our way, I fear that for my children, There is more disease today that can not be cured, drugs are not working like they used to, all sorts of things. So I say we all enjoy life while we can, and pray that this is really a long long time away.
