Why do I not get on well with most Capricorns?

capricorns are like that. they are entitled people, and very righteous. if you have a lot of pride, they have a little more. you basically stated why you can't get along with them in your question. They seem a little stuck up at first to me, too. it's like they always have to win. in order to be friends with them, you just have to accept that they will always be 'right.'
