Guys dating older girls?

So my best friend is dating a senior and were freshman...am i the only one that thinks thats wierd, and shes pretty hot and like normal and popular, but arent guys supposed to date younger and girls date older guys...aint it a bit wierd, im startin to wonder if something is wrong with her that she cant date a guy in her grade or older!
